We started a replicated (n=5 chambers) warming experiment in Barrow, AK. The experiment uses solar radiation to warm vegetation and will enable us to understand thermal acclimation of respiration and photosynthesis in Arctic vegetation.
A Zero Power Warming Chamber. The chamber enables modulation of warming by solar radiation through vents that open when the internal temperature increases above the external temperature. This image taken on a sunny day clearly shows chamber venting.
